Walt Disney Limited Editions -
In the 1970’s Disney implemented an art program, where recent and original cels sericels and hand painted limited editions were sold. Limited editions were created for the sole purpose of fine art. Artists would take classic scenes from Disney films and recreate them in small edition sizes of 250 - 750. Generally, the outlines of the image would be xeroxed onto a piece of celluloid, then the cel would be turned over and painted in layers from behind - like an original. Disney Limited Editions are a great way to get your favorite classic scene for an affordable price!
