Carl Barks
began work at the Disney Studio in 1935. In 1942 he debuted his comic books featuring Donald Duck and later Scrooge McDuck in 1947. When he retired in 1966, he began preparing paintings featuring Donald and other ducks. He also put together a book Animal Quackers which was a compilation of his original drawings and sketches. Carl Barks and Scrooge McDuck have a huge following across the world. His paintings sell between $25k - $100k. Mr. Barks passed away in 2000 - he was 99.
